Welcome! I’m Ana, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a licensed therapist offering individual, couples, and group therapy for adults, both online and in person in central Barcelona. I also hold workshops for companies, clinics, schools etc. I work in English, Spanish, and Romanian. I welcome adults of all gender identities or sexual orientations into a space where you can feel seen, safe, and respected. I work in person in Barcelona and online with people living all over the world, clients in the Netherlands, and especially Romanians living abroad, like me.
Originally from Romania, I’ve spent years living abroad, so I deeply understand the emotional challenges that come with building a life away from home. My journey first took me to Amsterdam, where I studied, worked and got licensed by the Netherlands Institute of Psychologists. Living there, I found a deep passion for working with expats and discovered how profoundly culture can shape the way we relate to ourselves and others.
Eventually, I followed my heart and the sunshine to Barcelona, where I now call home. In my free time I love being in nature, discovering hidden calas in Costa Brava, yoga, meditating, and dancing salsa.

🛋️ What therapy with me feels like
My approach is warm, open, and human—because I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can truly be yourself.
You don’t need to come to therapy with perfect words or a clear idea of what to “fix.” We’ll take things at your pace. Maybe you already have goals, or maybe things just feel heavy and confusing right now—that’s okay. Together, we’ll create space to unpack what’s going on, gently and with curiosity.
At the heart of our work is a warm, trusting relationship. In the beginning, we’ll take time to get to know each other and we’ll explore how your past may still echo into your present. Later on we will learn to care for the parts of you that didn’t always get what they needed. That younger version of you—the inner child—who still longs for the love, appreciation, and safety they didn’t receive. And then there’s the inner critic, shaped by the voices of those who hurt you, constantly whispering that you’re not good enough. In therapy, together we’ll learn to care for that child and stand up to that critical voice.
We’ll also listen to your body. In a world that pushes you to hurry, you can easily disconnect. But your body is wise—it says ‘no’ when you can’t, sometimes through tension, pain, or exhaustion. In therapy you will learn how powerful it is to come back home to your body—to soften, to breathe, to feel safe again. This will also help you be in the present moment and make time pass by slowly.
📅 Session rhythm
Most people begin therapy with weekly sessions—this helps us build trust and make consistent progress. As you begin to feel more grounded and resourced, we can space out sessions based on what feels right for you. And when the time comes to close our work together, we’ll take time to do it gently and thoughtfully—so you leave feeling clear, confident, and supported in your next chapter.
🎓 My Approach
I graduated with a BSc & MSc in Clinical Psychology from Leiden University, The Netherlands. I am registered with the Netherlands Institute of Psychologists (237749). I trained at The Dutch Institute of Schema Therapy and The European Association of Integrative Psychotherapy, which gives me the flexibility to tailor our work to your unique needs. I draw from a range of modalities, including:

- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Psychodynamic Therapy
- Self-Compassion & Acceptance
